Buying, Selling & Leasing Disputes

Has your horse sale, purchase or lease gone wrong?
Cynthia appreciates that to you, the true emotional value of the horse to the seller, buyer or livery yard owner may be well outside of the transaction or agreement. Cynthia is experienced to guide you through important considerations to be taken into account in your specific case which may include livery costs, inspections by a competent veterinary surgeon prior to the sale and whether such agreements are made in private or during the course of trade.

Negligence

Have you or your horse suffered an injury or are you being sued for negligence personally or professionally?
Cynthia represents both rider and riding establishment in any claim or defence to claim for negligence. Her representation also includes claims for professional or clinical negligence relating to equine veterinary work.

Horse Welfare

Do you own a pony or a horse, or have you taken responsibility for a horse leading to allegations concerning their welfare?
If the care given to the horse is called into question, Cynthia is able to provide you with advice and/or representation in cases of alleged cruelty both under civil and criminal legislation.

Road Traffic Law

Do you need guidance as to the road traffic laws as an equestrian?
As an equestrian, Cynthia understands the wish to enjoy your horse and be at one with nature, whilst adhering to bridleways and rights of way.  She is able to advise you as to the laws affecting the countryside and an individual's right to use land.

Horse Passports

Are you a foreign individual or equestrian business owner who requires guidance as to horse passports in the U.K.?
Cynthia is able to assist individuals or companies seeking information as to horse passports, including advising you as to the relevant prohibitions and legal requirements to be adhered to when making such applications.

Mediation.

Do you seek an alternative to your litigation?  

In appropriate cases Cynthia may act as a mediator or a representative in your mediations.  This can be face-to-face or virtually, online nationally or internationally.
